Grievance Redressal Committee
Grievance Redressal Committee
The Grievance Redressal Committee promotes and maintains a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment for students of HLM College. The committee enables any aggrieved person(s) to express their feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the college. The committee conducts enquiries and examines the nature and pattern of grievances in a strictly confidential manner. Emphasis on procedural fairness is given with a view to "the right to be heard and right to be treated without bias".
Responsibilities
The grievance procedure is a medium to sort out issues between students and HLM College — by which a student who believes they have been treated unfairly with respect to academic or administrative affairs is redressed. The committee helps settle the problem. It enables students to express feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with college rules and regulations.
Students are expected to lodge grievances with their Principal or Dean of the respective department; the committee will then be intimated for necessary action. A final report based on grievances received and resolved is submitted to management and further course of action decided.
